Speculation over the replacement of Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak has reignited with rumours that senior exco Phahrolrazi Mohd Zawawi would be a possible candidate in the event of a vacancy in the post.

Phahrolrazi Mohd Zawawi Although another two candidates, Amiruddin Hamzah dan Mohammad Taulan Rasul, are said to be also in the list of possible replacements, Phahrolrazi ( left ) who is also Pengkalan Kundor assemblyperson is said to be the choice candidate for the next Kedah MB.

It has been said that Azizan would be allowed to continue his duties barring any problems such as his health.

However, in the interest of smooth running of the state PAS would have no choice but to replace Azizan should he encounter ill health, especially in the face of an impending general election.
