A tanker carrying 1,600 tonnes of lubricant has sprung a leak after a collision with another vessel eight nautical miles north of Tioman Island.

According to Bernama , the ill-fated MT Cendanawati tanker crashed into MT Cosmic 10 at about 5am this morning.
The extent of the leak and its effects on Tioman Island - which host multiple popular dive spot and a marine park - are currently unknown.
Singapore-registered MT Cendanawati was traveling from Thailand to Indonesia.
All 19 crew onboard the MT Cendanawati were rescued unharmed by Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), said the agency's northern maritime region operations director Maritime Capt Syd Mohd Fuzi Syd Hasan.
"The crew memebrs and the ship's captain were rescued by the Lady Anyvisia ship which was about three nautical miles from the incident.
The other ship, the Indonesian-registered MT Cosmic 10 , was able to continue its journey.
