Repair work of railway tracks to be ready tomorrow
Work to repair the railway tracks and structures at Km366.5 between the Sungai Buloh and Rawang stations which were inundated following heavy rain on Wednesday is expected to be ready by 6am tomorrow.
Work to repair the railway tracks and structures at Km366.5 between the Sungai Buloh and Rawang stations which were inundated following heavy rain on Wednesday is expected to be ready by 6am tomorrow.
Following the flood, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) had to reschedule its ‘Komuter’ train services, Inter-City services, cargo and the electric train services (ETS).
KTMB, in a statement issued in Kuala Lumpur today, apologised for the inconvenience caused and advised the public to contact its customer service centre at 1-300-88-5862 for the latest information.
Among the Inter-City services that were rescheduled were the Ekspres Senandung Mutiara (No 23, Butterworth-Tanjung Malim), Ekspres Sinaran Utara (No 10 Tanjung Malim- Butterworth) and Ekspres Sinaran Utara (No 11 Butterworth-Tanjung Malim).
Also affected were the Ekspress Senandung Mutiara (No 22 Tanjung Malim-Butterworth), Ekspress Rakyat (No 2 Singapore-KL Sentral, Tanjung Malim-Butterworth), Ekspress Rakyat (No 1 Butterworth-Tanjung Malim, KL Sentral-Singapore) Ekspress Senandung Langkawi (No 21 Hat Yai-Ipoh), Ekspress Senandung Langkawi (No 20 Ipoh-Hat Yai).
The ETS that were rescheduled were all ETS from Ipoh to KL Sentral or Seremban which ended in Rawang.
