Ong Ka Ting’s term as council chairman of the Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) expired on Sept 14. He had served as the council chairman since June 22, 2004.

ong ka ting According to a statement from TARC today, Ong ( left ), who was a former MCA president and housing and local government minister, had initiated many programmes and projects together with the management of TARC to bring up the college to another pinnacle of achievement.

These included the successful accreditation of TARC programmes, strengthening universities’ partnership, increasing student loan funds, improving staff welfare and college infrastructure, including the upgrading of facilities such as the services to support learning and teaching to the university level.
