Selangor BN deputy chief Noh Omar today said the BN had to relook the actual needs of the people in the state to formulate a special manifesto for the state in the coming 13th General Election.   

NONE “Firstly, we have to carefully relook the matter as the people of Selangor who live in a relatively developed state would have different needs of an urban area compared to rural community,” he told reporters after closing a BN Selangor convention in Shah Alam today.   

The one-day closed door convention, attended by about 3,000 representatives and observers from BN as well as pro-BN parties and organisations, was opened by Prime Minister Najib Razak, who is also the chairman of Selangor BN.  

Selangor BN ‘raring to go’

Noh, who is also minister of agriculture and agro-based industry, said the manifesto for Selangor BN could not be drafted from a common version as the needs of the voters in the urban, semi-urban and rural areas were different.  

He said the delegates and 891 heads of voting stations in Selangor were raring to go after getting an uplifting call by Najib at the convention.   

“Last year, after the BN convention, we faced the Hulu Selangor by-election with renewed vigour and regained the seat in Hulu Selangor,” he said.   

Noh said the spirit of BN at the convention this time was clearly motivated by the widespread dissatisfaction of the people with the administration led by Pakatan Rakyat.
