Gerakan still wants to tango with its lover
'Gerakan must be reborn and be rid of deadwood such as Teng Hock Nan and free itself from the leash held by Umno.'
Teng compares Guan Eng to irresponsible lover
Hello : Being an irresponsible lover is better than being an irresponsible eunuch - giving away Penang to Umno and its cronies, and in the end, denying the fact.
To be a viable alternative, Gerakan must be reborn and be rid of deadwood such as Penang Gerakan chief Teng Hock Nan and free itself from the leash held by Umno.
RAW: If Gerakan has only leaders like Dr Teng, I don't see how it can win back Penang for many years to come.
More substance in debates on real issues than his silly attempt at portraying the Chief Minister Mr Lim as an "irresponsible lover" is needed if Teng wishes to lead in rebuilding his party to play an effective opposition role or to capture back Penang in the next general election.
That Teng could only use a sachet of Nescafe to attack Lim suggested to me that Lim must have done an extremely good job as Penang CM to the extent that Teng could not find any real issue with which he could attack the state government.
Bin Tok Kok : Teng must be a quack doctor if he reckons you can get pregnant whilst swimming in a pool.
Anonymous_4196: Teng's attack is childish. I am hoping he would give constructive criticism and counter with proposals. I think he has forgotten that Penang is currently one of the most improved states in Malaysia since 2008.
We are getting along fine without Gerakan and BN for the last few years. We are not stupid, we know that Penang is facing a hard time from the federal government as well as its top-ranking civil servants.
BN has forgotten whom they are serving - that's us, the rakyat.
Bluemountains : Is Teng trying to say that the people of Penang are stupid to have voted in a DAP government? Stop insulting the people of Penang and stop behaving like a clown.
Pronto : Teng Hock Nan, Gerakan had been given three decades to make Penang into a developed state. The development was slow and there has been a lot of question marks on the state's financial status.
Now under Pakatan, they have proven to be effective and you don't expect them to do what you have mentioned in three years.
Simon Lee 3ed5: Teng is brave in attacking Lim Guan Eng, but becomes a timid mouse when facing his political masters in Umno.
This reject was once a Gerakan heavyweight and considered a potential future chief minister, but was defeated by a small fry from DAP.
This only explains his current shameless behaviour that speaks volumes of his character and standing in the eyes of the rakyat. He is now trying to satisfy his lover Umno by demonising the incorruptible CM Lim Guan Eng.
Gerakan is still high in orbit living in the past, totally lost to reason, and not in sync with reality and the changing political landscape, and blinded by their loyalty only to Umno.
This pathetic soul is just trying to outdo Perkasa and ‘Utusan bin Umno' in their futile attempts to undermine Lim.
Just Me: In Lim's administration, no exco member is allowed to apply for state land. Do you still remember what happened during Gerakan's time. Teng, try comparing DAP's Penang today and Gerakan's Penang in the past - there is not even a match.
Gerakan has already sold Chinese Malaysians to Umno. They will pay for it for generations to come.
MySecret: Teng, we know very well that you are not fighting for the welfare of Malaysians in general and Penangites in particular. You are from the same hole that came the likes of those who had betrayed us all these while.
You can try to play a hero of sorts but really, you are nothing more than a yapping dog for Umno-BN, period.
Wfworker : Gerakan does not seem to realise that what they have not done since Lim Chong Eu's time has already been imprinted in the minds of all Penang people. It certainly looks like Gerakan is like MCA, totally bankrupt of any ideas.
Teng's approach is insulting to the intelligence of Penang people, like trying to sell them the same stale fish.
It is for certain that this type of talk would only get some ‘bravos' from your own members. If Gerakan ever survives the GE, then I think the people in Penang have lost their memory.
Changeagent: Teng Hock Nan, what is so impure about a sachet of Nescafe? What about BN's refusal to come clean on the RM40 million Tang Hak Ju land scams, RM30 million Pulau Jerejak scandal, and Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai (MPSP) RM230 million scandal?
Why look at the speck of sawdust in someone else's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Kit P: Gerakan is going nowhere as long as they hang on to their two biggest liabilities - Koh Tsu Koon and Teng Hock Nan.
