He said they also need to develop intellectual capacity and strengthen their resolve as they explore their chosen fields after graduation.
Tuanku Syed Putra Faizuddin, who is also Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) chancellor, was addressing the third session of the sixth UniMAP convocation in Kangar today.
He was accompanied by Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, who is also UniMAP pro-chancellor. UniMAP vice-chancellor Kamarudin Hussin was present.
The last batch of 608 out of 1,237 graduates were conferred degrees and diplomas at the convocation.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said graduates needed to think outside the box of narrow outlook and worldview and explore the field of entrepreneurship so as not be dependent on the job market.
