S'wak new deputy speaker and asst ministers sworn in
The new deputy speaker of the Sarawak state assembly Roland Sagah Wee Inn and seven newly appointed assistant ministers took their oath of office before Yang Dipertua Negeri Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng today.
The new deputy speaker of the Sarawak state assembly Roland Sagah Wee Inn and seven newly appointed assistant ministers took their oath of office before Yang Dipertua Negeri Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng today.
The ceremony was held at the Dewan Lapau of the new State Assembly building, and was witnessed also by Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud, state cabinet ministers and heads of government departments.
Sagah led the oath-taking. He was followed by the assistant ministers, namely Rosey Yunus and Robert Lawson Chuat Vincent (Welfare, Women and Family Development); Julaihi Narawi (Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion); Abdul Karim Hamzah (Housing; Social Development (Youth Development); Len Talif Salleh (Resource Planning and Environment); Dr Jerip Susil (Local Government and Community Development (Public Health) and Liwan Lagang (Social Development (Culture and Heritage).
Taib had announced the new appointments on Wednesday.
