The issue of Indonesian immigrant workers and domestic maids are among the matters to be discussed at the talks between Malaysia and Indonesia scheduled for today and tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

The 11th meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) is also expected to discuss the progress of the maritime delimitation and land demarcation and issues of mutual interest which can enhance and strengthen bilateral cooperation, it said.

The statement said the Malaysian delegation to the annual meeting would be led by Foreign Minister Anifah Aman and the Indonesian delegation by his counterpart Dr RM Marty M Natalegawa.

The talks between the two ministers would be preceded by a meeting of senior officials on collaboration in various fields, including political, economic and socio-cultural matters, the statement said.

The JCBC meeting will review the progress of bilateral cooperation over the past year and follow up on the decisions reached between Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and President Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia at the seventh Annual Consultations held in Putrajaya on May 18 last year.
