MyKad scam: Foreigners at resort for business course

Jbsuara: Foreigners who were attending an entrepreneur or business course needing police escort is absurd and indeed a waste of police manpower.

Is this another ridiculous SOP (standard operating procedure) to follow? The public would be glad if the Home Ministry could come forward with more responsible responses to the queries raised by PAS and the public on this matter.

If not, our MPs should raise this matter in Parliament, as well as other matters related to the alleged registration of foreigners as voters.

Up2U: The authorities must think Malaysians are stupid idiots to accept this atrocious statement.

If the foreigners are here for an entrepreneurship course, why all the secrecy? Why only Indonesians and Bangladeshis? Why not Thai, Cambodians, Nepalese or Indians?

These people are prepared to sell their motherland for a few votes. Just imagine what they will do if they lose the next GE? Chaos.

The IGP (inspector-general of police), NRD (National Registration Department) and the Immigration Department all have denied knowledge of this alleged ‘citizenship for vote' conspiracy.

Why are the police involved in escorting the six buses out of the Bangi resort after the PAS activists have left the scene?

To top it off, why the heavy police presence when it is just an entrepreneur course?

Yvoon: Since Supt Imran must himself believe in what he is saying - that is, the foreigners were attending an entrepreneurship course - what is worrying is that these are the officers who have been given the responsibility to solve crimes in our country.

If he can believe in what he said about this matter, I worry about what others can make him believe in when he comes around to conduct an investigation.

PAS: Police 'MyKad scam' explanation far-fetched

Anonymous: The plot thickens. Are these foreigners offered entrepreneurship courses because we want to upgrade their skills for running their stalls in Chow Kit?

I think the government has lost their sense of direction. Do they still care for the rakyat or have they become so obsessed with winning the next general election that they are prepared to betray the trust of the people. The home minister has a lot of explaining to do.

Onyourtoes: This is a very specific allegation made against the unauthorised offer of citizenship in return for votes. So can the police and the Home Ministry come up with specific answers. What exactly are the foreigners there for, what course and why?

Abasir: This is part of Talent Corp's effort to solve the country's brain-drain problem. And because we don't want our enemies down south to discover our methods, we are doing it with police protection behind locked gates.

Only a few questions need to be answered: why was SME Corp not in on the scam? Isn't entrepreneur development their core business? Can participants now write winning business plans?

And a last question for our beloved DPM: was the course conducted in Bahasa Malaysia, English or in Bengali or Urdu?

I am so excited because this will surely speed up our ETP (Economic Transformation Programme). I'm sure Idris Jala must be beside himself.

IGP in the dark over 'MyKad scam'

Pemerhati: This treasonous activity of giving citizenship to ineligible foreigners in the peninsula is just like the Project M in Sabah which gave MyKads to hundreds of thousands of foreigners.

That project was said to be masterminded by Dr Mahathir Mohamad and implemented by all the relevant government agencies. Now PM Najib Razak seems to be following in his mentor's footsteps in the peninsula and with the experience gained in Sabah, he seems to have had considerable success so far.

Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy trial and the Teoh Beng Hock case have dramatically illustrated that Najib and the top government people will lie and cover up any wrongdoing. Hence the people should not expect the IGP or any other top official or minister to admit to this treasonous activity which they and a lot of ordinary Malaysians know is taking place.

Expect all these top people to pretend not to know anything and express it by making all sorts of creative or stupid statements.
