your say Matthew Yeoh: Who is Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein trying to fool? I just had tea today with a Pakistani who came to Malaysia on a social visit visa two years ago, and turned illegal when his visa expired.

Now he is flashing his newly acquired red IC and boasted that very soon it will change to a blue IC with the help of somebody in Putrajaya. He went on and on about how comfortable he is over here, compared to his home country.

The best part is he is laughing at the government and our majority race for their stupidity to give him this instant PR (permanent resident) and nationality, and declared that as a blue IC holder, one day his son might even be the PM of this country.

Pemerhati: These Umno crooks follow a predictable pattern. When they get caught doing something criminal, their lackeys will come up with a blatant lie to explain the criminal activity.

After the lies are severely criticised by the opposition and the public, the Umno crooks think of a final cooked-up story to try and fool the public. This was clearly illustrated when it was revealed that Rosmah Mansor received a RM24 million ring.

The Umno lackeys tried to explain that the ring did not belong to Rosmah. When Najib and his cohorts realised no one believed those explanations, they came up with an equally unbelievable story that the ring had been returned.

Now PAS has revealed that a large number of foreigners were at a holiday resort, and most probably were given instant citizenship. One lackey gave the incredible and unbelievable explanation that the foreigners were attending a course for entrepreneurs.

Hishammuddin needs more time to cook up a more believable story.

Onyourtoes: The logic of the minister simply amazes me. The issue is not whether you have also issued citizenships to opposition supporters. Hishammuddin, are you feeling guilty and therefore trying to justify your unjustified action?

The issue is whether you have issued the citizenships based on our strict criteria. Did you systematically discriminate those from certain religion and race? Did you systematically favour those who are Muslims?

I have read in so many occasions of permanent residents (mainly Chinese and Indians) given citizenships when they are about to die. In fact, many have gone to their graves without getting one.

How dare you simply issue so many citizenships (and with bumiputera status) to those who have just come into the country recently? What professional qualifications do they have? How much investment have they brought into this country?

Ksn: PAS Johor Youth chief Suhaizan Kaiat has posted very intelligent questions. Can we expect equally intelligent answers from the NRD (National Registration Department), the IGP (inspector-general of police) - who was in the dark over the matter - and the police force.

Do not wait for it because they are all lying. Those behind this alleged plot are traitors to the nation.

Chikadee: It takes a lie to cover another, and another. How can the heads of government departments not know what is going on? Or perhaps they pretend not to know what is going on?

Fencesitter: These foreign workers will set up big business here. If the bumiputeras get 30 percent ownership, how many percent will be for these immigrants?

Hello: I find it amazing that the police are so gullible to swallow hook, line and sinker the explanation that these foreigners are on an ‘entrepreneurship' course.

They should at least initiate investigations into this matter instead of repeating the explanation like a robot. Unless they too are part and parcel of this conspiracy.

Pity Him: Assuming that PAS is telling the truth, and this is backed with evidence, then PM Najib Razak and the government agencies are traitors. And this means the country is under threat from within. I wonder if this was/will be discussed at the rulers' conference.

Honesty: This is a serious issue. Since we have our king and sultans, isn't this an issue for the royals to be involved in? Surely they don't want to be king of new citizens who were brought in for their votes.

The king can order a royal commission of inquiry. Malaysians will be undivided in standing by such a move to prevent the abuse of citizenship. Such an enquiry will clear the air. Your Majesty, please.
