The former assemblyperson for Sanggang (now known as Kerdau) Abdul Halim Mohd Seth, 64, passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital at 9.05pm yesterday from lung and kidney complications.

According to former Kerdau assemblyperson Ridzuan Harun, the late Abdul Halim was in the intensive care unit of the hospital after being admitted five days ago.

Abdul Halim, who was Sanggang assemblyperson for one term from 1986 to 1990, was the younger brother of former Pahang menteri mesar Yahya Mohd Seth.

His body was laid to rest beside his father’s grave at the Bangau Tanjung Muslim Cemetery after zuhur prayers,” Ridzuan said when contacted by Bernama.
