Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak arrived in Nanning, China, late tonight from Lombok, Indonesia, for a two-day working visit to attend the China-Asean Expo (Caexpo).

najib at mca youth agm Najib, accompanied by his wife Rosmah Mansor, was welcomed at the Nanning Wuxu International Airport by International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed, Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Peter Chin Fah Kui, Malaysia's Ambassador to China Iskandar Sarudin, Vice-Governor of Guangxi province Shen Beihai and Ambassador of China to Malaysia, Chai Xi.

Najib's visit is at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Premier Wen Jiabao. Malaysia has been invited to be Caexpo's Country of Honour this year.

Tomorrow, after having a breakfast meeting with Wen, Najib is scheduled to witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the China (Qinzhou) Malaysia Industrial Park together with Wen.

Najib is then scheduled to deliver the keynote address in representing the Country of Honour at the opening ceremony of the 8th Caexpo, and will also deliver the opening remarks at the 8th China-Asean Business and Investment Summit.

He is also scheduled to visit both Malaysia's "City of Charm" and Commodities pavilions, as well as witness the signing of MoUs or agreements between Malaysian and Chinese parties at the Malaysian Pavilion.

Najib and other Asean leaders are also scheduled to attend a luncheon hosted by Wen.

The prime minister is also scheduled to receive a courtesy call from the president of the Bank of China, Li Lihui, and host a roundtable between the Malaysian government and selected Malaysian and Chinese corporate leaders.
