King, sultan, premier to join biggest Raya open house
Yang Dipertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the Sultan of Brunei are expected to join over 300,000 people at the national Hari Raya open house to be held in Kuching on Dec 31.

The expected attendance is believed to be the highest in a single Hari Raya celebration in the country.
Busy with preparations
According to Bernama , Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir said the event was expected to be more joyful than last year's event at Bandar Darul Aman, Jitra, attended by over 200,000 people including from Thailand.
"My ministry and the Sarawak government are busy making preparations for the event," he told reporters in Kulim.
Abdul Kadir said 500 foreign media representatives had been invited to the open house.
