Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin arrived in Ipoh this morning for a day's visit to the state, covering three districts - Kinta, Perak Tengah and Manjung.

Muhyiddin, accompanied by wife Noorainee Abdul Rahman, arrived at the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport at 8.40am and were greeted on arrival by Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir and other state leaders.

His itinerary includes a visit to Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) in Tronoh to meet state religious teachers, attending lunch with BN leaders at Kemas Training Institute in Seri Iskandar and launching the 'School Times' programme at SMK Batu 10, Lekir in Sitiawan.

Later in the evening, he is scheduled to meet state non-governmental organisations at the Perak Darul Ridzuan building before attending the state-level Deepavali dinner at Little India, Ipoh.
