The last batch of 447 Malaysian Haj pilgrims arrived in Mecca on Sunday evening from the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

Tabung Haji group public affairs and corporate communications head Mohamad Naser Jaffar said the last flight arrived at 4.15pm local time (Malaysian time: 9.15pm) and the pilgrims were taken straight to Mecca city by bus.

He said with their arrival, a total of 28,000 Malaysian Haj pilgrims were now in Mecca and waiting to be taken to Arafah this Friday for wukuf the following day.

He added that all preparations by Tabung Haji to take the pilgrims to Arafah, Muzdalifah and then to Mina had been going on smoothly.
