vox populi small thumbnail Mirror On The Wall: As the days go by, it is increasingly becoming clear that the NFC is a personal cash cow for the Shahrizat (Abdul Jalil) family.

They treat public funds like their own money, and to add insult to injury, they can't even do a good job at covering up their misdeeds. They have become complacent because they thought, as in the past, no one would notice or care.

Unfortunately, they forgot that we are living in the era of the Internet where nothing can be hidden for long. But that's not end of the tale.

The most frightening outcome is that, no action will be taken or at best, it will be probed and certified ‘kosher' which the explanation that they did it in the interest of the public.

And the mainstream media will never print these misdeeds lest they get their licence revoked. And so it goes on, until the cupboard is totally bereft of anything. Quo vadis, BN?

Armageddon: National Feedlot Corporation CEO Mohamad Salleh Ismail must be underpaid and that is why he needed someone to sponsor his umrah trip.

Perhaps NFC should sponsor his haj trip as well and Insya Allah (God willing), he will ‘taubat' or repent, and hopefully do the right thing after that.

NC: I guess this is what they termed as ‘forward profit' - Salleh and his family are spending it before the NFC gets off its feet.

With MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) passing the buck to the police and with the IGP ‘not recalling' MACC's letter, Salleh and his company will go scot-free, courtesy of PM Najib Razak's transformation.

TehTarik: This is shocking revelation. If this is indeed true, then both husband and son have committed CBT (criminal breach of trust).

And according to the law, the punishment will be that the duo are to be guests of the government at the Sungai Buloh prison or another similar facility. Otherwise, this smacks of 2Malaysia - one law for the creme de la creme and another for the masses.

Rick Teo: They are using taxpayers' money for private expenses. It's time the Finance Ministry recall the loan. Money allocated should be exclusively for the feedlot project and not for other expenses.

Four Penangites seek disclosure of sPICE deal

Curious Observer: In principle, the Penang government should walk the walk and talk the talk, and show the public the agreement that had been inked. Surely there's nothing to hide.

Sentiments aside, doing so would surely prove that Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's government is a model for CAT (competency, accountability and transparency).

My THOR: A precedent is being set. Four Penangites seeking the disclosure of sPICE deal is definitely in the right direction.

The Penang government should disclose and prove that the deal is clean and beneficial to the people whereby transparency and freedom of information is practised as claimed.

A golden opportunity is created by BN for Pakatan Rakyat to send ‘runners' to demand for disclosure of all deals made by BN. With the ongoing ‘war' between BN and Pakatan, the people will be the winner.

Faz: The initial 'value' of this initiative is diluted with the present of so many BN political personalities.

Now, it's all about winning at all cost to the Umno-BN camp. At the very least, embarrass the Pakatan government, especially the DAP.

This has cheapened the idea of transparency, making the four ratepayers irrelevant to the issue.

Onyourtoes: Why don't the four file for disclosure of toll road and IPP (independent power producer) agreements first? Why don't you fellows file for disclosure of cabinet minutes on PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone) and NFC (National Feedlot Corporation) projects?

How long these idiotic things have be going on, why nothing from you fellows?

'Yes, more must be done to solve Umno's woes'

Teropong Negara: I was hoping for Umno to reinvent themselves as an imperative towards winning back their supporters.

It is now very clear this is not likely to happen - Umno continues to be dominated by the old guards who have a very strong hold on the grassroots, especially in rural areas.

At the same time, the younger generation and the professionals in the urban areas have lost their trust and respect for BN.

With the split among the Malay voters, the non-bumi and the new generation of bumis, which constitute at least 40 percent of the voting population, will determine the next ruling party in the GE13.

It looks like there is not going to be any two-thirds majority in Parliament.

Artchan: Dr Mahathir Mohamad just needs to say he backs DPM Muhyiddin Yassin. Everyone knows that. Even PM Najib Razak knows.

Rick Teo: The trouble with Najib is his weak leadership. If Muhyiddin had been under Mahathir before, he would long ago been sacked for going against the PM's policy.

However, Najib is pandering to Muhyiddin's sabotage. No wonder all his policies fall like a pack of cards.
