MCA: DAP and PKR are racist parties

your say Onyourtoes: MCA Youth vice-chairman Yoo Wei How, your analysis of DAP and PKR is rudimentary at best, no higher than grade ‘C'.

Sure, there are more Chinese in DAP and Malays in PKR, but this is not by deliberate choice. This is dictated by history and circumstances, nurtured and accentuated by the very moronic policies of the Alliance and BN.

It was the Alliance and now BN that deliberately, calculatingly and purposely keep the people of this country antagonistic and apart. At least, the DAP and PKR have tried to break away from this racial stigma. I must say even PAS has tried to be more inclusive than before.

Look not the racial composition of leaders of DAP and PKR but look at the policy intentions and struggle. Compare these two parties with MCA and BN; it is not difficult to discern that one is deliberately and intentionally racist, while the other is incidental and circumstantial.

Anonymous_3e06 : The way I see it, the whole political system in our country is built along racial lines. But there are changes being made in small ways by Pakatan Rakyat and DAP.

This is not seen at all in MCA or MIC, and certainly not in Umno. With BN, this country is heading for doom. It is time to change.

If Pakatan takes over Putrajaya it will it better, but the political system we have inherited will take a long time to turn around.

1) At what point in MCA's history has there been a non-Chinese top party leader?

2) Will MCA, being non-racist as Yoo claims, allow a non-Chinese to be elected party leader or anywhere on the party's leadership ranks?

3) Will the MCA change its constitution to allow non-Chinese as members?

If MCA is not a racist party that promotes Chinese chauvinism, why has it remained conjoined twins to Umno under BN?

And why is it that MCA has never condemned Umno's overt racism and its racist policies, including the New Economic Policy, its latest reincarnation included?

If MCA is above its racist cant, why won't it step out from under Umno's protection and raise its heckles against Umno and BN's injustices?

Because it can't and it won't. Because it is scared of losing its vested money interests in Malaysia's racist political edifice.

When Umno talks racist, the MCA just keep silent like an obedient dog but they pretend to be fierce only when the opposition says something. In the next election, the likes of you will be consign to the rubbish bin.

Docs: The number of MCA leaders talking rubbish these days are certainly growing by the numbers. I can't really blame the calibre of the MCA leadership these days. It just like the saying goes, ‘monkey sees, monkey do'.

For whose cause did Lim Guan Eng go to prison for 18 months? Wasn't it for a Malay girl while Umno and MCA simply stood by?

Why harp on racial issues when MCA cannot pass the test on matters that are important to people today - jobs, food prices, education, human rights, corruption, environment, etc?

Quigonbond: I feel very sorry for MCA when its Youth wing cannot distinguish between realistic political consideration and racism.

Racism is when you favour one party over another not on basis of merits or economic condition, but purely because of skin colour and religion.

Pakatan is working with political reality created by Umno, which has divided Malaysians for a good 30-odd years under Tun Dr M (Mahathir Mohamad) and subsequent PMs not courageous enough to reverse the damage.

If Tun Dr M had followed the footsteps of gentlemen like TAR (Tunku Abdul Rahman) and Hussein Onn, I wouldn't be surprised if today, Malaysians find it acceptable to have a non-bumi PM.

We are a blessed nation, gaining independence after many other nations have done so. We have the benefit of hindsight, and we need to wait a hundred years to gain political maturity.

If US has its first black president, UK, Australia and many other countries have their own woman PM or president, why not us?

With MCA Youth like this, we will never mature as a nation.

Dood: The stupidity of the logic behind MCA leaders' rubbish talk of late is making me want to scream into their ears and tear out all their hair.
