KTM Intercity services in the northern sector which were disrupted after the Ekspres Sinaran Utara (No 10) derailed yesterday have been restored as of 4am today.

According to a statement from Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), routes which were affected by the incident yesterday resumed operations as normal this morning.

In the 1.45pm incident yesterday, the Ekspres Sinaran Utara train derailed between Padang Rengas and Taiping on its way to Butterworth, forcing 160 passengers to be transferred to the Padang Rengas station before they were sent to the Butterworth station.
