Razak Baginda quizzed over submarine deal

your say Maplesyrup: In a morally-decayed world, it does not matter if a man is tainted with the suspicion of murder, corruption and the likes. It is, of course, no surprise that Abdul Razak Baginda said the submarine deal is above board.

He said it with the same confidence when he assured the court that he did not murder the Mongolian woman, nor did he in any way ordered her killing.

Oxbridge is a respectable grouping, and while he may be acquitted by the court, Malaysians know how innocent Razak Baginda is. To associate with him is really shameful.

What was Perimekar contribution to the government for you to earn RM500 million? If as PM Najib Razak and his cronies said, the French paid the money, are you trying to say the ‘fee' was not ‘costed into' the submarine deal?

Onyourtoes: We know Razak gave a talk, but why the Chatham House rule? They talked and we are not supposed to know what they talked about even though the issues discussed were most probably of public and national interest.

The Chatham House rule, sounds so grand but is actually a crap.

Razak, if you recall, was acquitted (after spending two years on remand in prison) of involvement in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder and there's no evidence at all for some of the more lurid speculation that surrounded the case.

The Chatham House Rule is a pretty standard convention that encourages open and candid debate. Clearly, someone has broken ranks in this case and tweeted a semi-digested version of events.

The submarine case was only a small part of the discussion (during Razak's talk at the Oxford and Cambridge Society Malaysia).

SusahKes: So Razak, tell us again, why did your wife scream in the court, "My husband doesn't want to be PM"? Now, that is bizarre.

And by the way, I don't think any of the other commentators were bonking the poor Mongolian lady...

Black Mamba: Razak says the submarine deal is above board and the Chatham House rule should not be invoked at such meetings if the organisers want to encourage openness and the sharing of information. What a contradiction.

One Brain Cell: It appears that money insulates those who have access it from all responsibility for misdeeds. That's why everybody is so keen to join the ‘Rich Folks Club'.

Well, it is only in this reality that you are rich - your ill-gotten gains are not valid currency in other realities, so you have only succeeded in trapping yourselves in a hell of your own making.

You are fooling nobody but yourself, Razak Baginda.

Dzulkefly Ahmad: Razak Baginda shouldn't be blamed for making RM500 million in commission as a middle-man in this submarine deal. It was a big and easy opportunity and which fool won't take it?

It's too bad our army generals and Administrative & Diplomatic officers have no knowledge and communications skills that we had to sought Razak Baginda's advice in this lopsided deal.

Joseph Yong: Dr Razak Baginda, please don't show your face in Malaysia until the 13th GE has ended. I am afraid that more fence sitters will vote for Pakatan Rakyat and reduce BN chances of taking back their lost states.

Versey: Razak has very thick skin and know not how to spell 'SHAME', though he is now has a doctorate degree from Oxford University.

This is a shame not only to Oxford but also to UK to allow such a morally bankrupt crook to reside in a once beautiful and well-respected country. I wonder how much he and his former boss have 'donated' to the British economy.

Though the judiciary is under the control of your gang, God is watching over you, and you never know when He will command the lightning to strike you or may even let you have a taste of the grieve and pain of losing a beloved daughter experienced by the Mongolian beauty's father.

Rumpole: At least, the London School of Economics had the decency to cut itself off from Saif Gaddafi (son of Muammar Gaddafi) and even returned his donation of millions of pounds.

It looks like Oxford has sunk to the lowest level of depravity. Sad how a once prestigious university has sunk so low.
