Some light shed on NFC 'datuk' identity

your say Trumpet Call: The police are focussing on the wrong ‘datuk'. While this ‘datuk' may have done something wrong, the big fishes are allowed to go scot free.

This ‘datuk' is a red herring designed to divert our attention from the real culprits of the corruption scandal.

I would not be surprised if at the final conclusion, the real crooks are found not guilty and this ‘datuk' is made the scapegoat. If that happens, it will be a travesty of justice to the nth degree!

Malaysianstudent: This ‘datuk' is clearly a fall guy who cannot be connected to this case, yet. I said yet because somehow some new story will crop up.

Disgusted: Like the two police officers made to take the rap for Altantuya Shaariibuu's murder, this so-called datuk is being kept incognito and a mystery to divert all attention from the real crooks, that is Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's family.

Zz2XX: See how Umno's police are trying to cover up the identity of the ‘datuk'. If the person is not connected to Umno then he would be paraded all over and his face would be on the front page of every paper in Bolehland.

And if indeed, these three senior police officers did turn down the offer - by the way, is it with hard cash or just a verbal offer? - they should be commended for their honesty, which is something very lacking amongst civil servants today.

Lover Boy: This man is just a runner. To offer RM1.7 million to PDRM (Royal Malaysian Polic) is no chicken feed and certainly he is doing it for a fee.

Now PDRM or MACC must frighten him a la Teoh Beng Hock to make him squeal on who asked him to do it. Basic deduction is if you follow the money trail, it will eventually lead you to the source.

Cannon: PDRM is performing a tap dance in sync with MACC like a 'por thor' (seventh month) show to appease angry spirits hungry for justice.

To the fence-sitters reading this, you can make a choice whether to vote for a change of government to put an end to all this nonsense, or you can continue to live with this nonsense and see this regime plunder and drive our country into the ground.

Sadirah: The rent-seeking mentality introduced by the NEP has now matured to the extent that we have professionals who can even provide such services as this ‘datuk'.

After all, we know that this is rampant within Customs, Immigration, Land Office, Fire Department and Road Transport.

Set up an independent team and you will see even LHDN (Income Tax Department) officials on the take merely by looking into their bank accounts, the homes they own or the cars that their wives drive.

When are we going to wake up and deal with the corruption that is so rife in our country?

The MACC alone cannot do it but if enough protection and incentive are given, the whistleblowers will do the job. However, people are afraid because the judiciary is not independent.

Agent 111: Where is the unofficial NFC spokesman Khairy Jamaluddin? Why is he not defending this ‘datuk'? There has been not much tweets from Khairy for the past few days.

Wfworker: How on earth would anyone going round offering such a sum of cash to resolve an issue that does not concern him? It certainly looks like everything has a price and it must be the practice all this while.

If it is his 'profession' to undertake such a mission, then he must be paid. The question is who would be the kind soul to pay him if not the party concerned? Do we hear of any denial from the party concerned?

Ferdtan: Detaining a businessman who is also a 'datuk' is obviously a red herring. Distracting from the main plot is an art of a con-artist.

Who cares about this man - bees are always attracted to honey. Where there is money, you get thieves and swindles. Police, get your focus back. We want answers to the NFC's issue and not the side show.

Changeagent: Who cares about this random 'datuk'? Clearly, he is a decoy, paid to divert attention away from Shahrizat and her family.

CCID (Commercial Crime Investigation Department) should focus their investigation efforts on the family instead since it is their names that are on the property titles and company shareholding list.

Docs: These days one needs to have a datukship to add more punch to the crime.
