Mohamad Asfia is acting S'wak Yang di-Pertua Negeri

Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar was sworn in today as the acting Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak for the period Dec 27 to Feb 10 next year.

NONE Yang di-Pertua Negeri Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng is on leave.

Mohamad Asfia ( right ) signed the instruments of oath and declaration before Deputy Chief Minister Alfred Jabu, witnessed by Kuching High Court Judge Rhodzariah Bujang at the Dewan Lapau of the Sarawak legislative assembly in Kuching.

Land Development Minister Dr James Jemut Masing and Social Development Minister William Mawan Ikom as well as several other state leaders and community leaders attended the function.

Abang Muhammad Salahuddin, 90, was reappointed Yang di-Pertua Negeri for a two-year term beginning Dec 5 this year.
