The Kelantan palace explained today that the post of Legal Adviser of the Kelantan Palace does not exist.

The Comptroller of the Kelantan Palace, Ahmad Mahmood, said a newspaper report on the post being held by Sukri Mohamed is incorrect and can confuse the people.

He was commenting on a newspaper report that the Legal Adviser of the Kelantan Palace, Sukri Mohamed, has lodged a police report against a blog which he claimed has defamed him over his purported involvement in fraud amounting to millions of ringgit.

Ahmad said that in accordance with Article 13(2)(b) of the Kelantan constitution (First Part), the legal adviser to the sultan of Kelantan and the Kelantan government is the same individual, who is the state legal adviser.

“It is hereby made known that the post of Legal Adviser to the Kelantan Palace does not exist on the staff list of the office of the sultan of Kelantan,” he said.
