Former Jeram Padang state assemblyperson M Sundram died of a heart attack in a hotel in Tamil Nadu, India last night.

Sundram, 67, leaves wife R Nagaratnam, 59, and sons Saravanan, 33, and Pertap, 27.

State exco member and Jeram Padang state assemblyperson VS Mogan told Bernama today he was informed of Sundram’s death at about 7pm Indian time.

Mogan said Sundram’s body will be brought back to his house in Taman Rantau tomorrow morning and later for the burial ceremony.

Sundram, who was appointed Negri Sembilan MIC chairperson from 1995-1997 was also elected as a member of the MIC supreme council.
