MCA vice-president Ng Yen Yen has dismissed rumours that many Wanita MCA members have left the party over dissatisfaction with the top leadership.
She claimed the rumours were spread by opposition political parties to tarnish MCA's image.
"No Wanita MCA member has left the party although it is the right of the individual to resign," she told reporters after launching the 15th Chinese New Year carnival in Malacca last night.
Ng said MCA received 35,000 new applications for membership last year.
