The DAP will hold its national convention on Sunday as it gears up to face the next general election.
DAP national organising secretary Teresa Kok said the one-day national convention will be held at Dewan Jubli Perak, Shah Alam, with the theme ‘Change Now, Save Malaysia’ as the party intensified its readiness to face the next general election.
“This convention is significant because it will be the last convention before the 13th general election. We expect 2,021 delegates and observers to attend the conference,” she said when contacted.
She said the convention is also expected “to outline the direction and role of the party in Malaysian politics”.
“All party leaders will attend the convention, and party chairperson Karpal Singh and secretary-general Lim Guan Eng are expected to deliver important speeches,” she added.
