Hasan sacking: A victory for order over disorder

PAS sacks Hasan Ali, S'gor to name new exco
Ferdtan:
The news of the sacking of the recalcitrant former Selangor PAS commissioner Hasan Ali is sensational news, bigger than the news of blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin’s (RPK) betrayal of the cause of opposition by giving interviews to the Umno mass media.
After all he is a state exco member in charge of an important Muslims affairs portfolio. It is not easy to sack him as he is perceived to have great influence within the party. He thought wrongly that he can get away by rubbing everyone in the party and its coalition partners the wrong way.
However he met his match in the PAS central committee - they were patient enough to wait for him to make more mistakes; hence the many unbecoming statements issued from him. He has become such a liability that not only his friends within the party, but also his own division members deserted him.
The signs were then clear to act; and thus the first salvo was lit by Saari Sungib to flush out the 'Umno mole' (by leaking the information that he did not receive enough nominations to contest in the next election). The bait was taken. The end of the story and Hasan.
Cannon: The repudiation of Hasan Ali by his own brethren in PAS, difficult as it may be, is a victory over religious fanaticism, a victory for order over disorder. It has enabled moderate Muslims to seize the higher ground. It augurs well for PAS and Pakatan as they enter the mother of all battles in the coming general election.
Righteous: Hasan thought he was "unfireable". PAS has come a long way and matured with the religion they profess. In short they have arrived, through the fundamental Islamic way... that the non-Muslims can accept. Unlike some pseudo-maniacs of that religion. Wasalaam.
AkuMelayu: Thank you, PAS, for making it very much easier for the Malay Muslims to decide who to vote for in the coming GE13. Thanks again.
Stevencbs: Aku Melayu is right. Now not only the Malays know whom to vote for. Even the Chinese know whom they should vote for. I will vote for PAS because this party has got guts n principles like DAP. Syabas, PAS. You have earned my trust that no turncoat will be spared... even if they are Malay and use Islam as the excuse.
Muniandy Narasiman: Should have done it much earlier. Pretending to work to uplift Islam, his struggle has been to undermine the real warriors of Islam. I am sure he is already on the payroll of the Umno idiots. This not a loss for PAS. If you don't remove lalang in your garden it will kill good flowering plants.
Anonymous_4031: Congratulations to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for his speedy and effective action. That action speaks well of him as a leader who would not be taken lightly. His action means that he has a firm grip of the situation in PAS and also in Pakatan; and he means business. Those who cannot toe the party line should be sacked at once, lest they became a thorn in the flesh of the party.
Contrast his action with Umno president's action on his deputy who declared that he was "Malay first”; which is contrary to Najib Abdul Razak's "1Malaysia", which is all-inclusive slogan.
Another example of his weakness was when he did not act against racist elements in his party and also in the school system. In spite of his bold pronouncement at the UN Assembly that member states should condemn racism! But back home, he chickened out on both occasions!
With the PAS president's bold step, he should lead Pakatan and take over as prime minister if Pakatan wins the majority of seats! PKR and DAP should support him whole-heartedly.
UTUSAN MALAYSIA: Hasan, very soon your title of Yang Berhormat also akan hilang. now look for any vacancy in Utusan Malaysia as a journalist or TV3 as pembaca berita . Now you feel ashamed, right? Your own party kicked you out. PAS spiritual adviser Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat and Tuan Haji Hadi Awang are wise humans. I salute them.
Hello: It’s about time that PAS did what it had to do! From hindsight I suppose PAS had to give Hasan enough rope to hang himself! For him to remain in PAS would be like having a poisoned chalice in their midst! As for the two ex-PKR members Kulim Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Noordin and Bayan Baru MP Zahrain Hashim, they are welcome to accept him into their bosoms! Better they be poisoned than PAS!
Retnam: I can't resist saying this: This is one event RPK and the know-alls did not know will happen.
Teroid: News of the day! Although it's a few months late, kudos to PAS for getting rid of this betrayer. No worries for him, Umno will take him and welcome him as a hero, eventually he will bring them to zero. One garbage out, few to go!
Paul tino: I was so unhappy that PAS could be so tolerant with Hasan Ali because I have been telling my Chinese friends and family that PAS is a party we can count on even though we are still quite uncomfortable with the controversial hudud law. Tonight i can sleep well, thanks for the wise decision. We have faith in you, PAS.
Asalgolf: Another event to remember in January: "Let Hasan Free 801" by PAS!
Cannon: Let me add my two cents worth. I won't be surprised if the man joins Perkasa. Iraq had Chemical Ali. In Bolehland, if Iraq has one weapon of mass destruction (WMD), we must have two. And we have - Comical Ali and Nonsensical Ali.
