May 14 trial for accused in murder of French woman
The High Court in Kuantan today fixed May 14 to 31 for the trial of a petty trader charged with the murder of French tourist Stephanie Foray in Pulau Tioman last year.

In the dock was Asni Omar, 37, who allegedly killed the 30-year-old woman at an unnumbered house in Kampung Tekek, Pulau Tioman between 8pm on May 10 and noon on Aug 12, last year.
The accused faces the mandatory death sentence upon conviction under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Fadhli Mahmud said the prosecution would call 30 witnesses during the trial which would be presided over by Justice Mariana Yahaya.
Foray ( right ), from Bourg-En-Bresse, France was reported missing since May 8, last year.
On Aug 8, police investigations led to the discovery of her skeletal remains in Kampung Tekek, Pulau Tioman.
