PKR lawyers, tread gently with NFC witness

YOURSAY 'Personally I do not trust Shamsubahrin. Somehow his story does not add up, and he can just jump ship at a click of a finger.'

Shamsubahrin: NFC chief pressured me to bribe police

your say Susee Salleh Weldham: I am new to this jumble of deceit by prominent personalities in this lovely country. My comments and recommendations is as simple as ABC.

Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and her family is guilty and should be arrested and charged immediately for criminal breach of trust. Their total assets - movable and immovable - should be frozen.

DPM Muhyiddin Yassin should be hauled up for questioning by the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) and detained for further investigations for being the minister responsible for approving this scandalous loan.

The auditor-general should be called to give a clear explanation of the financial fiasco in NFC (National Feedlot Corporation). With this, I believe everything will fall in line.

If the above is not done, then vote the Umno-BN regime out this GE13.

Lover Boy: Personally I do not trust this witness. Lawyers N Surendran and Latheefa Koya, please be careful with this witness. Somehow his story does not add up, and he can just jump ship at a click of a finger.

You may need him to be your witness in a defamation action, but do not let your guard down and get an statutory declaration from him. Not that it means much in Malaysia after private investigator P Balasubramaniam's case.

Better still, send him to a local mosque and take the ‘sumpah laknat' or whatever.

Muller: It is better for the PKR lawyers to make tonnes of back-up. Anyone care to shed light on the strategy behind PKR making incriminating claims (previous one being credit card expenses) without the slightest show of any hard evidence even though they supposedly have it?

Is it having to do with certain legal aspect or interference with MACC/police's investigation or just some Sun Tzu strategy? I would have thought showing at least some hard proof would bolster greatly the credibility of those claims.

Onyourtoes: PKR, you have to be very careful here. Obviously, you do not know for sure who you are dealing here.

This desperate person will do anything right now and you will never know how he will react or behave next. Do you have all his copies of SMS and phone conversations with you?

If you don't, most probably the telcos will not give you now although they usually have it. Look, you are a lawyer, I am sure you are smarter than me.

Blind Freddo: Shamsubahrin Ismail, what did they pressure you with? Money?

Absolom: Maybe this guy is not telling the truth. Maybe that other guy got the project and funding on his own merits. Maybe his minister wife did not influence anyone higher-up to get the soft loan.

Perhaps MACC did not find any wrongdoing in NFC. May be the condos were part of a clever management plan to make money and thereby help repay the soft loan.

Maybe their children were working so very hard in marketing, incurring those credit card expenditure, to ensure the project is viable.

Even if you try very hard to make sense of these may bes, even if you are the most gullible person, they don't sound right to you.

For those who would believe and those who would justify these and other wrongdoings, please vote BN, and get screwed for another 50 years.

For the rest, I think there are more than a few reasons to desperately seek a change of guard.

Changeagent: What a sideshow. Shamsubahrin is just a paid and willing pawn in this NFC fiasco to divert attention away from Shahrizat's family.

Who cares whether he had been pressured to bribe the police or not? This is such an insignificant event compared to the overall picture in which RM250 million of taxpayers' hard-earned money had been deviously and fraudulently misappropriated.

NMNT: I can foresee the next gaming sensation, NFC Farmlot 2.0. The most innovative game in history - able to buy properties and farm cows in condos and buy BMW to transport cow.

Loads of other features too, only if you have reached the advance level.

Declare salaries if innocent, DAP tells Shahrizat's kin

I Love Malaysia: An average of RM38,000 per child per month - RM1,270 per day, RM158 per working hour.

The poor farmers and fishermen cannot even earn RM20 working eight hours in the rain and sunshine. You call yourselves Muslims earning ‘haram' money doing nothing other living in luxury when the poor are suffering?

I can't blame you but the BN. They give, you take. The time will come when the rakyat will squeeze you dry.

Bob Teoh: There is no need for Shahrizat to go through all the melodrama. Give a full accounting for NFC, including loan draw-downs and repayments.

Then declare yours and your family assets to either the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) - before you became a minister and now. If everything is above board, case closed and NFA (no further action). Then go ahead and sue anyone who dares defame you and your family.

Joseph Lee: I wonder how much income taxes they pay? The Inland Revenue Board should investigate. Even Al Capone was sent to jail over tax evasion as all other methods to incarcerate him failed.
