YOURSAY 'Yes, don't listen to Rafidah who has her share of APs (approved permits) whereas you only have cows and bulls...'
Shahrizat says she won't step down
Changeagent:
How thick-skinned can one be? It's not a matter of whether Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil is willing to step down or not anymore.
She has yet to convince the public of her non-involvement in awarding the NFC (National Feedlot Centre) contract to her family members, and that makes her position in the government untenable.
She has lost the confidence of the people to carry out her duties with integrity, and to resist calls for her to quit would certainly spell further damage and repercussions to BN at the polling booths. She can stay, but at her own peril.
Trumpet Call: So here we have a thick-skinned no-shame minister that does not know that her time is up. The honourable way to behave is to step aside till her name is cleared.
How can the minister continue with her duties knowing that every time she appears in public, she stands to be ridiculed and despised. How can she carry on as if nothing is happening. She is either a good actress or just plain shameless.
Open Minded: In the aftermath of the recent Port Said soccer riots in Egypt, several heads rolled including that of the governor, but here in this country we have a shameless lot of people in public office who cling on to their posts like as though it is their dear life. Greed surpasses dignity and pride.
Restless_Native: This is further evidence that the money is just too good to leave it lying there. That's why the Umno ministers will "defend Putrajaya with their bodies". There is simply too much at stake, not just for them but also their family members.
I am sure that, if they lose the elections, each will flee to his/her apartments and homes abroad while their poor supporters wonder in bewilderment.
We had to leave the country to experience the rewards of hard work through an honest living, but we still pine for the old Malaysia and visit often.
These slimy vermin steal on a grand scale and live like kings and queens and yet dictate to the rakyat about morals, the need to tighten one's belt, etc.
20121221Disaster: Shahrizat resigning or stepping down will not help solve Malaysia's problems.
To solve the numerous problems that Malaysia is facing, we must dethrone the Umno government first because it is the root of all problems that the country is facing.
Lim Chong Leong: Shahrizat, please tell us how you are serving society that you are so indispensable and that we need you so much that we will allow your family to continue to plunder us into the deep abyss.
Batupahat: Resign or not to resign as Wanita Umno chief is the call of your party. But involvement of your immediate family utilising fund from the government and mismanage them is a different story.
PM Najib Razak and Co are obligated to investigate and explain to rakyat what is going on. Why was the project awarded to her family?
Taxpayers money is meant for development of the country and when it involves mismanagement, the government must explain to the rakyat because they are the shareholders.
MoyTaHan: I feel so sorry to Rafidah Aziz. Do you think Shahrizat will quit her minister's post and resign as Wanita Umno chief, knowing that not even Najib dare touch her.
Shahrizat has already wondered aloud which Umno member has no problem. Yes, Shahrizat, Umno warlords dare not to touch you, but the rakyat Malaysia will kick you out in the next election.
Anonymous: Correct, correct, correct. Why should she resign when others too had a share of the gravy train.
Milo: "‘If there are people who know the workings of Wanita Umno and are calling me to quit, it must be because they have their own agendas,' she said when met at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport today."
Aren't you referring to the AP queen?
Wfworker: Shahrizat, you are right. Don't ever step down. Stay until the general election so that you can provide enough material for the Pakatan Rakyat to exploit.
Indeed if you have to go, the whole BN should go. Don't listen to Rafidah who has had her share of APs (approved permits) whereas you only have cows and bulls.
Anonymous: Shahrizat exemplifies the typical Umno politician. Rafidah Aziz 'sudah lupa' when she was Wanita chief and the AP case - she herself is thick-skinned to call for Shahrizat to quit when she didn't.
Survivor: Only in Malaysia, a minister who has all the skeletons in her closet exposed, need not have to resign. This type of minister has to be forced out by the rakyat.
The problem with these type of ministers are that they remain adamant and unashamed at all of their misdeeds. This type of ‘L' (lembu) minister really has thick hide.
Thana55: After indulging in all the corrupt practices, how is going to umrah in Mecca is going to help?
I hope she realises that our creator is not the police or MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission), where misdeeds can be swept under the carpet.
