Nik V: What DAP and PAS did before they recognised the wolf in sheep's clothing that is Ibrahim Ali is forgivable, compared to MCA and Umno who now know exactly what kind of bigot and racist Ibrahim is.

Is the way DAP and PAS have conducted themselves against the likes of Ibrahim and Hasan Ali not exemplary enough for MCA?

Kudos to PAS, DAP and PKR. This just goes to show how low calibre the MCA leaders are to use such useless logic to try to cover their lack of courage to stand up against their big brothers - Umno and Perkasa - in fear of losing their chances to stay in power.

Multi Racial: If I were MCA, I would just apologise and move on. The facts are:

1) Ibrahim Ali is the president of Perkasa supported by Umno and their patron is Dr Mohamad Mahathir. MCA is an Umno partner in BN, which has never opposed Umno in supporting Perkasa.

2) A senior officer of MCA (Collin Tiew) was at the Perkasa-organised function and he was the one who arranged for a majority of the old folk to be there.

3) This senior officer of MCA has since taken responsibility and resigned .

In spite of the obviousness of this case and their handling of the tear gas attack on Tung Shin Hospital, the MCA president and his party leaders still want to lie to the people. How are we to trust such leaders?

Cala: MCA deputy youth chief Mah Hang Soon is barking up the wrong tree for blaming DAP for its role in getting Ibrahim Ali elected in the last GE.

If MCA had not been friendly with Perkasa, what business had Collin Tiew in the said open house organised by Ibrahim Ali?

DAP has banned all its members from supporting and attending Perkasa functions and also openly criticise Ibrahim Ali's actions, while MCA supports them.

But why the hypocrisy? What Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim said was very 'moderate' (and similar to PM Najib Razak's position,) where if Palestine's safety and sovereignty can be assured, then Israel's safety and sovereignty should be respected also.

That is what the world is hoping for - to stop the war and atrocities in the region so both Israel and Palestine can exist in peace as two sovereign nations.

Every tribe on earth is capable of running amok and killing others they deem a threat or whose land and resources they covet.

Israel, the artificial nation, should never have been forced on the indigenous Palestinians, but that happened before our time and now it has existed as a nation since 1948.

We have to deal with the situation as it is - and aim for the most humane, compassionate, reasonable reconciliation and resolution available.

Why can't Israel and Palestine acknowledge each other as neighbours and begin to cooperate instead of compete?

With financial and technical resources and political will, the whole Middle East can be turned into an oasis of abundance, instead of a perpetual war zone. Umno's hypocrisy is simply abysmal and appalling.

20121221Disaster: Hasan Ali is a typical politician who uses Islam as his weapon. But I don't see anyone who is willing to stand up and protect the religion from being used that way.

Hang Tuah PJ: So, prior to March 2008, he was pleading with Gombak residents, both Muslims and non-Muslims, for votes.

After winning the post, he was coveting the MB's post. He is the worst type as he uses religion to cover his ambitions.
