KL police confirm man held in Batam is Hilmi Malek
The Kuala Lumpur police has confirmed that the person detained in Batam, Indonesia for immigration offences is Hilmi Hazimin Malek, who is wanted by the Malaysia police for allegedly releasing revealing pictures of a female Selangor executive councillor in 2009 but had since gone missing.

KL Criminal Investigation Department chief Ku Chin Wah was quoted in Utusan Malaysia today as saying that it received confirmation of the person’s identity as Hilmi.
He was detained on Saturday for possession of false documents.
"The man is still being investigated by the Indonesian police following the alleged offence, and they need more time to complete their probe and possibly charge him.
"We will continue to assist the Indonesian authorities regarding the investigations," he said.
Ku said Hilmi is wanted by the Kuala Lumpur authorities to assist in investigations on photos which emerged on the Internet of Selangor executive councillor for tourism, consumerism and environment Elizabeth Wong.

Berita Harian also confirmed with its source that the man detained was Hilmi.

also reported that a photo from a video capture allegedly showing an opposition leader who was about to have sex as exposed by the infamous
‘Datuk T’
trio on March 21, has made its way into a Japanese magazine.
The daily reported that the matter was brought to the attention of an anti-PKR website from an email that the blog received.
Datuk T - comprising businessperson Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Risda chairperson Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik and also former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim - claimed it was Anwar Ibrahim.
However, the top politician has denied it was him.
