PAS has given Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Said three days to retract what it alleges is a statement reportedly made by him that it is “a party of deviationist teachings”.
PAS central committee member Abu Bakar Chik said the party would take action against Ahmad if he did not retract the statement allegedly carried in a mainstream newspaper.
“It is a very serious accusation,” he told reporters at a media gathering with Terengganu PAS leaders also attended by Terengganu PAS commissioner Abdul Wahid Endut.
Ahmad is alleged to have made the statement in Kijal on Wednesday at the distribution of the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M).
