MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek claimed that Pakatan Rakyat's policy

document - the Buku Jingga - will bankrupt the nation in just two

years upon implementation.

He claimed that Pakatan's policy would drive public debt to exceed 100 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) with goals of ensuring RM4,000 monthly household income within five years.

"A total of RM93.9 billion annually would need to be paid out to the

NONE 3.8 million households to ensure their income is guaranteed at RM4,000 per month," said Chua ( right ).

He said this during his opening speech of the Malaysian Chinese at

the Political Crossroads conference organised by Asian Strategy &

Leadership Institute (Asli) and MCA's think tank Institute of

Strategic Analysis & Policy Research (Insap) this morning.

Chua added that if Pakatan delivers all its promises as stated in the

Buku Jingga, it will cost taxpayers a total of RM199 billion to RM254

billion, while the budget deficit will rise to 27.5 percent within a

year to RM617 billion.

"Malaysia will go bankrupt in year two of Pakatan's tenure as the

budget deficit will have exceeded 10 percent of the GDP and public

debt will have exceeded 100 percent of GDP," he said.
