Pahang PAS to mobilise 10,000 for anti-Lynas rally
Pahang PAS will mobilise approximately 10,000 of its members from all 14 divisions in the state for Sunday’s protest in Kuantan against the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (Lamp) situated in Gebeng.

) said he expects an average of 1,000 members from each division in the state to take part in the rally.
“I have also received word that members from Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Malacca have pledged their support, but I’m unsure of their numbers,” he said.
Tuan Ibrahim said the party’s vice-president, Salahuddin Ayub, is also expected to attend the rally.
The Sunday rally at the Kuantan City Council field will be the second since Taman Gelora , and the first time an anti-Lynas protest will be held downtown Kuantan.
Meanwhile, Terengganu PAS liason secretary Yahya Ali said the state PAS leadership would also be present at the rally.
“We are encouraging (our state members) to go as this involves the interest and security of this country. We must act before anything unfortunate happens,” Yahya said.
The rally is scheduled to kick off at 9.30am, with similar solidarity gatherings slated to take place in the major towns and cities throughut the country, including Kuala Lumpur.
