PAS will hold a special central committee meeting on March 1 to discuss the issue of the Kedah state executive council appointments after two of its exco members declined reappointment to their posts.

Party secretary-general Mustafa Ali said a PAS central delegation led by deputy president Mohamad Sabu, vice-president Salahudin Ayub and assistnat secretary-general Syed Azman Syed Ahmad Nawawi had met with Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Razak and Phahrolrazi Zawawi today to discuss the matter.

"The outcome of this meeting will be among matters to be discussed at the special meeting on March 1," he said when contacted today.

NONE However, Mustafa (left) declined to reveal the outcome of the meeting with Azizan and Phahrolrazi except asking the media to refer to Salahudin's statement carried by PAS party organ, Harakah .

Salahudin was reported to have said that the party's central committee was confident the Kedah issue could be resolved soon.

Eight of the state exco members took their oath of office today before the chairman of the Kedah Council of Regency, Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah, while two more are expected to do so before March 7.

Two exco members who did not take their oath today were Phahrolrazi and Ismail Salleh.
