Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said he does not suffer from stress as he avoids it through prayers.

"The best thing is to avoid stress. I pray and in concentration during my prayers, whatever stress is driven away," he said

The premier said this in an interview with Chinese radio station MY FM this morning, which was later reported by Bernama .

Widely regarded as a pious person, Abdullah also had this to tell the listeners. "Don't do bad deeds unto others".

He said that attitude towards work was also important as one would be stressful if he does not like his work.

"I enjoy my work," said the 64-year-old premier, who took over the position from Dr Mahathir Mohamad last November.

Loves food

Asked on his health regime, Abdullah said he loves food but does not do much exercise.

He said he would normally do light exercises after his dawn prayers and would always ensure that he remained calm.

On his food preference, the premier said he was fond of steamed dishes.

He added that for breakfast, he would always have a cup of local coffee and a glass of fruit juice.

Apart from his culinary preferences, the premier also told the radio station that he always felt embarrassed when other motorists were forced to give way to his motorcade.

Nuptial ties

On a more personal note, Abdullah said his relationship with his wife Endon Mahmod had no hiccups and the pair interacted well with each other.

"We have no problem to say sorry to each other whenever we make mistakes," he said.

Asked how he supported his wife, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, the premier said he takes care of her very well.

The couple have a son and daughter.

Abdullah, who is also Barisan Nasional (BN) chairperson, has been labelled 'Mr Nice Guy' due to the absent of scandals and his reportedly humble disposition.

Since taking over the premiership, he has launched a blitz on corruption which has seen several high-profile figures, including a minister, being dragged to court.

Come polling day on March 21, the premier will be defending his Kepala Batas parliamentary seat against a PAS candidate.
