Community airline Firefly will operate out of Terminal 2 at Changi Airport, Singapore, from Sept 25, 2012 due to the closure of the Budget Terminal.

In a statement today, Firefly assured passengers that it was working with Changi Airport Group to ensure the transition would be seamless.

“A webpage detailing information on the move would be set up at fireflyz.com.my nearer to the date of the move.

“Passengers can also email customer care@fireflyz.com.my to obtain clarification,” it said.

Firefly said those who had purchased seats on flights departing Singapore from Sept 25 onwards would not have to pay additional passenger charges for travel out of Terminal 2.

“However, those who purchase seats on flights departing Singapore from March 9, 2012 for travel on Sept 25, 2012 onwards will pay total passenger charges of S$28,” it said.

It said the relocation of operations would enable better connectivity to other airlines as Terminal 2 was linked to Terminal 1 and 3 by a series of inter-terminal travellators and Skytrains.
