A heavy downpour yesterday evening wreaked havoc in the city, causing flash floods in several places, trees to tumble down and minor landslips.

A City Fire Rescue Department spokesperson said though no casualties were reported, there was considerable damage to public property.
He said Jalan Peel, Kampung Baru, Keramat Luar, Bangsar and Jalan Syed Putra in the city as well as Kampung Melayu in Subang were hit by flash floods.
The minor landslips occurred nearby the Spring Villa Apartments, Ukay Perdana, Ampang, he told Bernama .
Checks by Bernama at the area found the apartments were not affected by the landslips.
Another landslip was reported in Jalan Kampung Atap, with a man said to be trapped in his car, but who was was rescued by Fire and Rescue Department personnel.
A falling tree in Jalan Sultan Ismail was reported to have landed on a bus parked near a traffic light junction.
