Bera member of parliament Ismail Sabri Yaakob has called on the Barisan Nasional election machinery to work hard and recapture the DAP-held Triang state seat in the next general election.
Bera member of parliament Ismail Sabri Yaakob has called on the Barisan Nasional election machinery to work hard and recapture the DAP-held Triang state seat in the next general election.
"Our objective must be to recapture the seat. I am confident we can win if all the BN component parties remain united and work hard for it," he said when addressing 400 BN election machinery workers when opening a course for polling agents at the Rakan Muda complex in Bera last night.
Triang, where the electorate is 70 per cent Chinese and 24 per cent Malay, has been held by the DAP for five terms.
Ismail Sabri, who is domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism minister, said the constituents of Triang were eager for change.
He said support for the BN from among the Chinese constituents was rising.
