A trainee with the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) died in Sungai Siput Hospital last night.

NONE Sungai Siput district police chief Supt Azman Salim said R Vinoth,18, from Padang Jawa in Klang, Selangor, died at 10pm.

He said Vinoth’s death was reported by his father today while the cause of death is still unknown as the autopsy result is still not ready.

Vinoth had been ill for several days while in camp and was sent to Sungai Siput Hospital for treatment.

He joined PLKN in early January and was supposed to complete the training programme in three days.
