The Penang MCA is well prepared to coordinate with other BN component parties in the coming 13th General Election (GE), said state MCA liaison chairman Ng Yen Yen.

She said the party was currently in high spirits and its extraordinary enthusiasm proved they were indeed, ready to win back the Chinese community's support for BN.

She said party members would never surrender as they always believed that when they worked hard for the people, they would surely obtain their support.

ng yen yen pc parliament 160611 03 Ng ( right ) was speaking to reporters before chairing the state MCA liaison committee meeting at the Bukit Gelugor division branch in George Town today.

She said the party had not set any target to achieve in the coming GE.

"We have learnt our lesson after the 2008 General Election and if BN wins the coming general election, we will surely put the housing issue as our main agenda in helping the people in Penang to own a house," said Ng, who is also tourism minister.

She said, although the voters from the Chinese community were very difficult to tackle, she believed MCA would be able to win Chinese support if it worked hard enough.

Ng said she had received numerous complaints from the people in Penang that the current DAP-led state government had failed to build affordable houses.

She said, during a dialogue session with the state's non-governmental organisations, many had highlighted to her that the DAP-led government built very few low-cost houses since taking over in 2008.

She said, many Penangites did not seem to know the vision of the Penang government, adding that the DAP had probably, no vision to achieve.

"As for BN, our vision is to achieve a high income country by year 2020, which has been boosted with Economic Transformation Plan, National Key Results Areas and political transformation to help the people, especially the low and middle income group," she said.
