A total of eight parliamentary and 10 state seats are going through a recount now in five states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Recounting started at 10am. Results are expected to be known at the earliest by 1pm.

The parliamentary seats are Machang in Kelantan, Permatang Pauh (Penang), Pendang and Sik (both in Kedah), Batu Gajah and Ipoh Barat (both in Perak), Kota Melaka and Bukit Bintang (KL).

The nine state constituencies in Kelantan are Pulai Chondong, Temangan, Kemuning, Kota Lama, Pengkalan Pasir, Melor, Selising, Gaal and Manek Urai, with Batu Buruk in Terengganu.
