The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will have a ‘Blue Tiger' mascot as part of a rebranding exercise to enhance public confidence and as a symbol of its commitment to transparency and integrity.

NONE Inspector-general of police Ismail Omar said the introduction of the Blue Tiger mascot is made in conjunction with 205th Police Day celebration this Sunday.

"Blue Tiger is PDRM's symbol of rebranding in an effort to increase public confidence in the force in safeguarding security and public order," he told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.

Ismail said the mascot will be introduced tomorrow night at the Police Day celebration at Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur.

He said PDRM never had a mascot in its history and introduced it as part of the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) to improve services for the people's benefit.
