A police officer in Temerloh has been arrested for corruption allegedly in association with unlicensed massage parlours in Mentakab, according to police.      

Pahang police chief Sharifuddin Ab Ghani today confirmed the arrest, and said the officer was held two days ago and has been released on bail of RM5,000.      

He said the officer was under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and that he has been asked to go on leave.      

A Pahang MACC source said the officer was arrested on Friday evening for corruption allegedly over unlicensed massage parlours in Mentakab.
