Cuepacs has called on a special commission tasked with making a comprehensive and holistic revamp of the civil service to review the structure of salary increase for all grades of public servants.
Its president, Omar Osman, said this would ensure 1.4 million public servants would benefit from the services rendered.
The setting up of the commission was announced by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak on March 8 when he announced the cancellation of the Public Service New Remuneration Scheme and the implementation of an improved version of the Malaysian Remuneration Scheme.
Speaking to reporters after attending the Rapat 1Malaysia programme hosted by UiTM General Staff Union in Shah Alam today, Omar said Cuepacs had submitted a working paper on its proposals on the salary increase to an action committee for deliberation with the special commission soon.
