Selangor BN elected representatives mull sending a memorandum to the sultan of Selangor to protest against the action of state assembly Speaker Teng Chang Khim at the sitting yesterday.

They described his action - sending a text message to state executive council members asking them to highlight the achievements of the PKR-led state government - as unprofessional and proof that he was bias.

Yesterday, six BN members walked out of the assembly in protest of Teng's action.

Abdul Shukor, who is Kuang assemblyperson, said as a speaker, Teng should be impartial, fair and responsible when presiding over the assembly sitting.

"But looking at the manner he sent the text message, it is clear that he has betrayed the trust given to him," he told reporters after opening a gathering of Universiti Teknologi Mara union members in Shah Alam today.
