The police are expected to zero in on the suspect who placed firecrackers under a toilet bowl cover in a toilet at the Sri Rampai Light Railway Transit station, two days ago.

In the 1.15pm incident, Muhammad Sakereen Basri, 22, was injured in the back and left leg by shards from the toilet bowl when the firecrackers were set off.

City CID chief Ku Chin Wah said today, the police had obtained footage from a closed-circuit television camera which had recorded the suspect entering the toilet.

He said the police would track down the suspect soon, adding that he had not targeted any person in particular.

Ku said the police did not rule out the possibility the suspect lit the firecrackers before leaving the toilet.
