Water disruption in KL, Petaling and Hulu Selangor next week
Several areas in the city, Petaling and Hulu Selangor will experience temporary water supply disruption from April 10 to 13.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) corporate affairs executive director Abdul Halem Mat Som said this is to facilitate maintenance works.
“Among the affected areas in Petaling are Desa Tun Razak namely Jalan 1/118C until Jalan 11/118C and Taman Desa Tasik, while in Kuala Lumpur the areas include the Sungai Besi RMAF base, JKME and JKR quarters, Jalan Sungai Besi Batu 4 1/2, Taman Taynton View, Taman Mutiara, Taman Supreme Jaya and Taman Bukit Hijau, which are expected to take place from 8pm on April 10 until 5am the next day,” he said in a statement today.
He said the disruption was to replace two 800mm diameter butterfly valves near the Sungai Midah reservoir.
“Meanwhile, water supply disruption is expected to affect Jalan Anggerik, Jalan Seroja, Jalan Kemboja, Jalan Bakawali and Jalan Telipot in Hulu Selangor from 10pm on April 11 to 6am the following day.
“This is also to replace a 600mm diameter butterfly valve at the Bukit Sentosa 2 Water Tank Tower in Hulu Selangor,” he said.
According to Halem, water supply will also be interrupted in other areas in the city starting 9pm on April 13 until 5am the next day.
Among the areas affected are Taman Sri Delima, Taman Batu, Taman Lawa, Taman Sejahtera, Kampung Pasir, Kampung Segambut Permai, Kampung Segambut Luar, Taman City, Taman Kok Lian, Batu Cantonment Army Camp, Taman Impian, Taman Eastern, Taman Rainbow, Jalan St Thomas, Jalan Khalsa, Taman Pelangi, Kampung Muthiah, Kampung Shak Mah, Kampung Bandar Dalam, Kampung Chubadak Dalam, Kampung Chubadak Tambahan, Kampung Chubadak Tengah; Kampung Chubadak Jaya, Kampung Chempedak, Kampung Chempedak Hilir; Kampung Puah; Kampung Puah Seberang and Kampung Puah Bahagia.
“Also affected are Taman Sentul Jaya, Taman Sentul Endah, Taman Sentul Bahagia, Taman Sentul Permai, Taman Dato Senu, Taman Sentul Pasar, Taman Bamboo, Taman Kaya, Segambut Industrial Park, Taman Segambut Indah, Kampung Batu, Kampung Batu 5, Kampung Seri Batu, Kampung Delima, Jalan Ipoh Batu 4 until Batu 5, Jalan Cenderuh, Jalan Kuala Kangar, Jalan Vethavanam and Kampung Kovil Hilir,” he said.
He added that this would make way for replacement of two 600mm diameter butterfly valves on Jalan Kucing and Jalan Jambu Mawar.
Halem advised the public to keep sufficient water supply and to use water wisely throughout this time.
