Malay right wing group Perkasa is considering legal action against news portal Malaysiakini and a videographer attached to the Chief Minister’s office, Lilian Chan.

NONE Penang Perkasa Youth chief Mohd Rizuad Azudin ( with loudhailer ) said its lawyers were carrying out investigations whether to sue Malaysiakini or Chan following an allegation against him and Perkasa.

Malaysiakini yesterday reported that Chan was kicked twice on her leg by a member of Perkasa in a gathering organised by Perkasa last Friday.

“I strongly deny the claim. It is clear that a third party is trying to damage my reputation. Why accuse me and Perkasa?” Rizuad told reporters after lodging a report at the Northeast District Police headquarters in George Town today.

He hoped police could carry out a detailed investigation on the claim and he also challenged Chan to undergo examination at a hospital to determine if she was kicked.

“Is she sure it was a Perkasa member or myself who kicked her? I am confident I did not do it because Perkasa has no problem with the people,” Rizuad said.
